Virva Quintet is a jazz ensemble that perform music written by Virva Immonen.
The ensemble was founded together with four Estonian jazz musicians during Immonen’s student exchange year in Tallinn in 2014. In her music, Immonen combines jazz tradition with her honest, committed lyrics. Her works contemplate the many aspects of humanity, covering feelings from the thrill of happiness to the venom of envy. With their powerful energy and skilled improvisation, the concert of these five musicians is a unique jazz experience.
