Joonas Tuuri Quartet is in the capital area operaintg jazz bassist’s own group, founded in 2017. The band plays catchy and buoyant instrumental modern jazz and the compositions are written by Joonas Tuuri.

At the heart of the music are beautiful and captivating melodies, strong different moods, an urbane groove and a very finely honed interplay and improvisation. Sensitive communication between musicians always makes the music meander in a unique and unpredictable way. The band recorded their debut album in the spring of 2021 and will be released through Eclipse Music in March 2022 in the name Dimensions.
