Helsinki-based pianist and composer Toomas Keski-Säntti recorded his debut album Unearth while living in New York City. Released in March 2025 on the Spanish label Fresh Sound, the album marks the acclaimed pianist’s first appearance as a bandleader.

To bring the music of the album to life, Keski-Säntti assembled a group of top-tier musicians from Finland’s jazz scene. For this concert, the band performs as a trio, presenting both compositions from Unearth and newer works. Drummer Teppo Mäkynen and double bassist Joonas Tuuri have long been Keski-Säntti’s trusted musical collaborators.

In Keski-Säntti’s powerful compositions, the energy of the metropolis meets the clarity and openness of Nordic soundscapes in a compelling way. The trio’s dynamic is defined by the equal opportunity of each musician to steer the music in unexpected directions.

Keski-Säntti is a familiar name in many of Finland’s leading jazz ensembles, including OK:KO, Jukka Perko PreBoppers, and Selma Savolainen Horror Vacui, the latter of which won a Jazz Emma Award last year. He has performed actively at clubs and festivals across Europe as well as in New York.

Pat Metheny, considered one of the most legendary guitarists of all time, is coming to Finland for two concerts!

Metheny will perform solo shows in Oulu and Helsinki, during which his musical DNA and vision will be revealed to the audience in a completely new way. Joining him on stage will be more than a dozen different guitars, and throughout the concert, he'll play pieces from both his classic repertoire and his recent albums DreamBox and MoonDial. These intimate concerts have created magical moments around the world, as Metheny shares stories from his incredible career between songs.

Solaris Quartet is a fresh group of four friends. The quartet plays its own jazz compositions, which are inspired by jazz legends of 60’s & 70’s and also more contemporary legends, such as Gerald Clayton and Ari Hoenig. Solaris Quartet explores musical layers with curiousity, always trying to find new ways to express.
