The Vanaja Big Band's Latin concert brings the hot rhythms of South America into the heart of Hämeenlinna's autumn. The concert takes its audience on a musical journey to Brazil and the Caribbean islands – with even a quick stop in Hollywood. On the program are smooth bossa nova and joyful samba, sizzling mambo rhythms and the groove of Latin jazz. Vanaja Big Band serves up a feast of Latin moods with a full orchestra and three vocal soloists. Expect a rhythmically swinging evening!

Vanaja Big Band is a large entertainment orchestra from Hämeenlinna, a familiar performer in the city's marketplaces, parks, and concert halls. The concert's vocal soloists are Johanna Laukkanen, Anne Tamminen, and Jaakko Kulomaa. The orchestra is conducted by its new bandleader, Viljami Heikkinen.

The concert lasts about 2 hours including an intermission. During the intermission, refreshments will be available.
