Ville Lähteenmäki Trio is based in the port city of Trondheim on the Norwegian North Sea coast. The musicians take their cue from jazz icons of the 1960s and 1970s such as Pharoah Sanders, Albert Ayler, Archie Shepp and Alice Coltrane. The band's music is a mesmerizing mix of intense interplay, powerful melodies and far-reaching improvisations.

Ville Lähteenmäki Trio consists of leading young jazz musicians. Ville Lähteenmäki plays his main instrument bass clarinet, Nicolas Leirtrø bass and Trym Saugstad Karlsen drums.

Mozambique-born drummer-composer Chico Matada's quintet combines a wealth of influences ranging from African folk music to rhythm and blues, and jazz harmonies spiced up with captivating melodies that dwell in your mind. The band's music is characterized by a relaxed, creative and spontaneous grip, where the listeners will be able to both dance and transcend into a musical universe of epic sounds and delightful harmonies.

Jazz music will land in Joutsa at Taidelaitos Haihatus, where Jazz Jkl Collective will play jazz classics to the swaying of summer rhythms! In Haihatus' last Musasunnuntai of July, in addition to the Collective the folk jazz ensemble Janne Laurila & Hot Heros will take the stage.
