The clarinet wizard Louis Sclavis has proven himself to be one of the most creative musicians in contemporary jazz since the 1980s. He began his musical career as a child, and his repertoire covers a wide range of musical styles. Since 1991, Sclavis has frequently visited Finland, and he also performed in Seinäjoki in the autumn of 2021.

In 2023, the French master clarinetist Louis Sclavis turned 70 years old. Vapaat Äänet is organizing a celebratory tour with his fantastic quartet in October, which includes a performance in Seinäjoki. Expect another explosive jazz experience from these French musicians. It's a rare occasion to have such significant international guests performing in Seinäjoki.
