Signe delights us with their strong presence, powerful soloistic interpretations and highly original compositions. The ensemble's unique musical language has been pushing the boundaries of jazz, contemporary classical and popular music since 2014. The ensemble consists of jazz vocalists Josefiina Vannesluoma, Riikka Keränen and Selma Savolainen as well as New-York-based double bass comet Kaisa Mäensivu.

With their new trilogy titled Onomatopoesia, Signe explores the uncharted territories of the human voice. The albums' vocalisations evolve from the smallest components of language, phonemes, into syllables and further to words. The second part of the trilogy, Morphemes, was nominated for an EMMA Award in spring 2023. The evolution of the trilogy culminates in the use of composed lyrics in the album Syntax, released in June 2023.
