Intriguingly, a new encounter with guitarist John Stowell fits into this same continuum. John Stowell approaches jazz music through tradition and his unique, modern tonal language. This distinctive virtuoso is also widely acclaimed as an educator and pedagogue. The guitarist, known even as a columnist for Guitar Player magazine, has performed with many jazz legends, including Milt Jackson, Dave Liebman, Ralph Towner, and Tom Harrell.
