Jazz Finland Live

Pianist and composer Aurora Hentunen, recipient of the 2025 Jazz Album of the Year award (Indie Awards), is an acclaimed and versatile artist. Her quartet's music blends acoustic and electronic soundscapes, moving between the realms of Nordic jazz and pop-ambient production. The concert at G Livelab promises a truly unique experience, as for the first time, the quintet’s music will be accompanied by stunning live visuals programmed by Branislav Vlaisavljevic, who creates imagery that dances and transforms in real time with the music on Livelab’s large screen.

Hentunen’s third album, Little Further, released via Eclipse Music, reflects the dramatic events of recent years around the world and the collective stillness and uncertainty they have brought. Yet the music gently guides the listener forward, encouraging trust in the days to come. The album received the 2025 Jazz/Soul Award at the Indie Awards, and features GRAMMY-winning bassist Linda May Han Oh (Pat Metheny Group, Vijay Iyer) as a guest artist.

“Like the best records often do, Aurora Hentunen’s latest album Little Further unfolds in layers, leaving the listener plenty of room for personal interpretation.”
— Indie Awards 2025

“Hentunen’s sense of melody and instrumentation is truly moving, and with every listen, new details continue to emerge from the songs.”
