Tickets 15 - 57€
The distinctive and rhythmically adventurous music of Norwegian saxophonist and composer Marius Neset has captivated audiences in both the classical music and jazz scenes worldwide. As Brian Morton succinctly put it in Downbeat magazine in 2022: "He is not the future of European jazz; he is the present."
In the concert at Savoy Theatre, Neset will present compositions from his acclaimed album "HAPPY" (2022), praised for its funky influences from the 70s and 80s, earning acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
The Marius Neset Quintet includes keyboardist Elliot Galvin from the UK, pianist Magnus Hjorth and drummer Anton Eger from Sweden. The bassist for the ensemble is to be announced.
